Travelling to the Yukon by:
Vehicle: It is about 1,500 miles (2,400 km) from Calgary to the Yukon on the historic Alaska Highway. It is a breathtakingly scenic trip through vast spruce forests and the Rocky Mountains. At Jake's Corner (Historic Milepost 866) on the Alaska Highway, you turn left (west) to Tagish (22 km/13 miles) and Carcross, a newly paved road with scenic stops. Once in Tagish you may park your vehicle at the government campground or at the Tagish Bridge Recreation Site, west of the bridge.

B.C. Ferries and Alaska Marine Highway cruises from Vancouver and Bellingham (USA) to Skagway, Alaska. From there you may travel by bus to Whitehorse. We arrange a shuttle service to pick you up in any of Whitehorse's hotels or hostels.
