Tagish Lake is well-known for its great fishing spots and well-sized trouts, pike and grayling
![]() |
Situated in the Southern Yukon, Tagish Lake is part of the headwaters of the mighty Yukon River. With a length of over 80km, Tagish Lake expands also into Northern BC and is connected with Atlin Lake (BC) and Marsh Lake. Its deep, cold and clean water provides great fishing for passionated fishermen & women but also calm waters and bays for beginners and those who want to give it a try. There are calm bays with warm, shallow water ideal for pike fishing, deep craters and cliffs where lake trouts love to sit and rocky river mouths perfect for arctic grayling. We operate within the Yukon and BC part, the best spots are in reach within only a maximum 1hr boat ride. Along the way, there are many options for a short break, a coffee on a sandy beach, a walk to a historic site or a shore lunch on a beautiful island overlooking the crystal clear, glacier fed water. Tagish Lake belongs to the protected waters of the Yukon with special regulations for catch and posession limits. We will provide you with all necessary details for your fishing trip. If you want to prepare yourself and learn more about it beforehand, visit the homepage of Environment Yukon for more details.
